Love Is My Commandment

good stuff, jesus. good stuff.

jwhoaaa:

So our UCI house of prayer has a prayer booth every Friday on campus, but today we decided to change up the game and go on a treasure hunt instead. We asked Holy Spirit to give us clues on where to go and who to talk to. Among many of the clues we got, one of the places i got was Aldrich park (it’s a park in the center of campus). So my friend Joyce and I started walking around the park. we approached a girl who was chillin by herself on the grass, and asked if there was anything we could pray for her. She said Yes, to find spirituality. That opened up a great conversation, and we sat down and just started chatting with her. Turns out, she was Egyptian and her parents were Coptic Christians (an Egyptian orthodox branch of christianity). However she had recently given up on seeking spirituality, because she was turned off by all the terrible things religion had caused, even though she knew not everyone was like that. Joyce and I shared our own testimonies of what God has done in our lives, sharing how real and good Jesus is…that He desires for her to move past the ugly things associated with religion and to have a personal relationship with her. We prayed for her, prophesied the love of God over her, and got some verses & words of knowledge for her. Joyce sensed she had a creative spirit and a gift of writing. Turns out she was a writer! Before she left we got her email, so we’re hoping to follow up with her in some way. I don’t think this was a coincidence… YAY JESUS. Let’s keep praying for Sarah, that the Holy Spirit would show up like no other!!

Then we returned to the table where we usually have our prayer booth, where we found pastor Jim. We got to talk to a guy named Chris who was just going through a lot of crap and wanted prayer. Apparently he was catholic but had walked away from God. So Jim Joyce and I prayed and prophesied over him. Once again Joyce blew it up with some crazy prophetic words. Pastor Jim doubly blew it up by preaching the forreal word of God in a nutshell. Then he asked Chris if he owns a bible, and he said no. Jim whipped out a bible, handed it to Chris and said, “I brought a bible today because i had a feeling I needed to give it to somebody. That somebody is you.” bam. Chris was really open and you could just see the hunger in his eyes that he really wanted something deeper, something only Jesus can give. He left us with his contact info so I’m hoping we can follow up with him as well!! All glory to GAWDDD!!!

Love ya Jwong. :)

Jesus just wants to have fun :)

Christianity

Christianity is not merely a list of beliefs you have about Christ, things you intellectually ‘agree’ or ‘disagree’ with.

Christianity is encountering the All Consuming Fire in the eyes of a living Man.

There is a stark contrast between the ideas we have of God in our minds, the things we think we know about Him and the real Person who wants to relate to us.

In this generation, Jesus is longing for a people who will not only be fully themselves before Him, not faking like they have everything together, but, even more importantly, give Him the freedom to be the God He wants to be before them.

It’s not about a building.

It’s not about an institution.

It’s not about church politics.

It’s not about social reform.

It’s not about escaping the world.

It’s about Jesus Christ.

Knowing Him.
Loving Him.
Manifesting Him.

Jesus simply wants relationship, for us to let Him be who He really is.

No steps.
No methods.
No formulas.
No striving.

We’ve made this thing WAY too hard, guys.

My paradigms are shaken.

Jesus, who are You?

Suddenly, I realize how vast of an ocean God really is.

The depths of the Father’s heart are unsearchable.

Jesus Just Wants to Have Fun Pt. 16

That awkward moment when the secretary wearing a brace (carpal tunnel) at the place where you had your job interview has all her pain leave after prayer.

With four other people in the room watching, I took her hand and commanded her pain to go.

She took off the brace and asked me if they had accepted me to work there.

Jesus is so good.

Hope I get the job.

“And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.” — Acts 17:25

Last Night

That awkward moment when you’re on a 3 hour skype call with someone who has seen Jesus face to face and said person casually calls out the streets you used to live on, your mom and dad’s names, and their birthdays.

I just talked to Joel (loveismycommandment) and he’s an amazing brother to me. He is such a sweet person, and totally in touch with God and just amazing.

I asked him if he could pray for me, and the pain in my chest I’d had since earlier when I had my mental anxiety attack breakdown thing WAS COMPLETELY HEALED. COMON!

Anyway, I’m going to bed joyful for the first time in a week or so.

GOODNIGHT LOVELY PEOPLE!

:’) This little sis of mine has such a pure, pure heart.

She’s amazing guys.

What can I say, Jesus just wants to have fun :P

The More I Find You

Hey guys, can I be transparent for a second?

Cool.

So yesterday, I messaged a word I felt like Papa shared with me to a friend of mine who has been a real source of encouragement
in my life.

He messaged me back and was very encouraging, but truthful.

Turns out, I completely missed the word.

Completely.

Now, normally this wouldn’t bother me.

At this point in my 20 year old life, I’ve been blessed to see countless people touched by the words that Papa has placed on my heart.

I have been growing in the prophetic for over four years now and feel comfortable flowing in it.

This past year, I’ve been blessed to see amazing things happen  on my campus on a daily basis.

I have seen so many awesome encounters where Papa has given me the most spot on and accurate insights into people’s lives.

But for some reason, I was extremely bothered by the fact that I missed this word.
